What does our fee cover?

The fee of £95 (+ VAT) helps us to continue our work of matching the best breeders with perfect new homes for their puppies. By continuing to verify breeders and providing a safe space for new puppy buyers online, we are getting closer to stamping out puppy farming and improving the welfare of puppies in this country ❤️

Our team of dog experts (including experienced breeders) reviews, screens & verifies all dog breeders before they can list a litter with us. Our fee covers costs for our verification process, managing the platform and helping spread the word on responsible breeding and puppy buying practices.

Is it safe and secure?

Yes. Payments are facilitated by us and we use a third-party payment provider called Stripe which is fully regulated and encrypted. They provide industry-leading TLS 1.2 encryption to keep all of your data secure & private.

How do I pay the Tailwise fee?

Once you have clicked the "Reserve a Puppy" button to reserve a puppy from the litter of your choice, you'll need to pay the Tailwise Fee.

You'll then need to read the message that appears and click the Confirm button to confirm that you are happy to go ahead. This will send you to our secure payment page to enter your payment details for the Tailwise Fee.

Once you've clicked confirm, you will be directed through to our third-party payment provider, Stripe. All you'll need to do is enter your card details and billing information and click the 'Pay' button once you're ready to complete the payment.

Remember, funds are not taken from your bank account immediately but will remain in your pending transactions until the breeder verifies your application.

What happens next?

Once you've completed the payment, you'll receive an email from us to confirm. And remember, the fee is only taken from your account once a breeder has verified your application.

We encourage the breeders to reach out to prospective puppy parents and make a decision within seven days. If a breeder rejects or fails to respond to your application within seven days no money is taken from your account.

Is the Tailwise fee refundable?

The fee is refundable if, through the fault or actions of the breeder (or Tailwise), the puppy does not get placed with you. If a breeder verifies and then cancels your application, you will receive a full refund.

The fee will not be refundable if you decide you no longer want a puppy or have materially misled the breeder (or Tailwise) with your application information.
